I wrote a duet today.

oh, and here's my first video for the album:

I got a bunch of my dearest friends together and taught them how to play instruments. We found an enchanted forest and did about 20 takes practicing the song on video. This one take seemed to capture the song the best. My voice was tired, and all I needed to do in life was finish this video. Once we finished this cut, we knew the song was ready. My dad says it sounds like George Harrison.

rn when you're older".  It sounds so dumb and I would have thrown rocks at myself five years ago for saying that, but it's very true.  

There have been parties, encounters with enemies and old lovers, hair grown, home replacement, movies finally seen, skin toasted, lips kissed, gin sipped, new birds finally heard, songs finally released from the brain to the finger, trees waved, traps set, grass danced, throat burnt, money made, sleep achieved, and god is on my side.

A grand old day was yesterday. Could have been the best day ever:

-Finished submission 1 for my senior thesis
-The best engineer in Austin said that he would mix my album
-Matt called me. We're opening up for Broken Social Scene in August
-Music video for grandchild should be done by Wednesday
-Artwork for the album should be done Sunday
-WE'RE PLAYING WITH BROKEN SOCIAL SCENE IN AUGUST!!!!
-Website should be up and running sometime next week
-I ended up going to the Mowhawk last night with Juan, Jim, and his wife to see Dri's band from the Anniversary and just chilling and enjoying the earth herb with them all night.
